Valencia
Valencia is one of those cities where you can experience centuries-old traditions and also discover the most innovative experiences. It is a city that welcomes you, welcomes you and makes you feel part of it. Part of its festivals, its emblematic places, its people, its beaches and its landscapes.
To walk around València is to lose yourself in the streets and in the great beauty of its old quarter. The Carmen neighbourhood is one of the jewels of the city, as it perfectly represents the union between history and modernity. There you can enjoy the art in its different theatres, the leisure in each of its bars and restaurants and the most valued constructions such as the Cathedral of Valencia, the Miguelete or the Serrano and Quart Towers which, historically, were two of the fortified gates of the medieval wall of Valencia.
Discovering València also means enjoying a Mediterranean sunset in the Parque de Cabecera and, from there, following the old Turia riverbed, today converted into a wonderful and much-appreciated park that crosses the entire city and offers space for runners, families, sportsmen and women, animals, etc.

Tourism is travel for pleasure or business; also the theory and practice of touring, the business of attracting, accommodating, and entertaining tourists, and the business of operating tours. The World Tourism Organization defines tourism more generally, in terms which go “beyond the common perception of tourism as being limited to holiday activity only”, as people “traveling to and staying in places outside their usual environment for not more than one consecutive year for leisure, business and other purposes”.
Tourism can be domestic or international, and international tourism has both incoming and outgoing implications on a country’s balance of payments. Today, tourism is a major source of income for many countries, and affects the economy of both the source and host countries, in some cases being of vital importance.
