Join us on a relaxed and insightful walking tour through Benidorm — a place where history, culture and Mediterranean lifestyle blend into one unforgettable experience.
What we will see during our walking tour?
We begin at Plaza de la Hispanidad (Triangular Square), today the vibrant heart of the city. It’s hard to imagine, but just a few decades ago, Benidorm was a quiet fishing village with narrow streets, wooden boats and simple seaside life.
Moreover, you’ll hear the incredible story of Pedro Zaragoza, the visionary mayor who dared to dream big. He fought for the legalization of the bikini and promoted tourism when no one believed in it. And finally transformed Benidorm into a symbol of freedom, modernity and happiness.
Our walk continues through the Old Town, where traditional whitewashed houses, blue-domed roofs and stone streets preserve the soul of ancient Benidorm. We’ll visit the Church of San Jaime and Santa Ana, a beautiful 18th-century sanctuary overlooking the sea.
We will then head to the famous Balcony of the Mediterranean (Mirador del Castillo) — the most iconic viewpoint in the city. From here you’ll admire panoramic views of Levante Beach, Poniente Beach and Benidorm Island — an absolute highlight for photo lovers.
The tour continues to Elche Park, a peaceful palm oasis by the sea. This quiet corner is the perfect contrast to the lively beachfront and offers a glimpse of local life.
We finish with a pleasant walk along the Poniente Promenade. Also, we see the romantic Swan Love sculpture — a picturesque spot and a symbol of connection and harmony.
No Spanish experience is complete without food, so our Benidorm Walking Tour ends in a traditional bar, where you will enjoy authentic local tapas and a drink.
Your guide will also share insider tips on the best places to eat, drink, and explore — the kind of recommendations you won’t find in a guidebook.
